LIFE HAS A WAY OF LETTING US KNOW THAT WE CAN BEAR MUCH MORE THAN WE THOUGHT.

"Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling, with the mistaken belief that you cannot bear the pain. But you have already borne the pain. What you have not done is feel all you are beyond that pain."

Kahlil Gibran

successful people keep moving

Love

www.InfinityPrinciple.com

Love is like the ocean. I recommend you visit often… jump in… splash about… and surf in its waves, but don’t try to bottle it up and take it home. You can “receive” and even use the power of the ocean, but you can’t take it. If a bottle of sea water is a poor substitute for the ocean, likewise bottled up love is a poor substitute for the sense of infinite love that is… Continue

DON'T LOSE YOURSELF.

To be nobody-but yourself-in a world that is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else-means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting.

Weekly Tidbit: Perceptions of Reality

I had a wonderful conversation with a friend earlier today. She had just finished reading the book When Everything Changes, Change Everything by Neale Donald Walsch and called to talk about how some of the concepts in this book could be translated into practical language and applied to our everyday life. That being one of my favorite things to do, we went to town with focus on three perceptions of reality described in that book and how they shape our lives. I had just finished reading… Continue

One of the world's most amazing, renewable building resources: guadua bamboo!!!

http://www.guaduabamboo.com/guadua-angustifolia.html

What is Guadua Angustifolia?

For centuries bamboo has been used in everyday life and in many different cultures throughout the world. The most gigantic and extraordinary type, now known as "Guadua Angustifolia Kunth", is considered one of the 20 best bamboo species in the world. In 1822, the German botanist Kunth described Guadua as a genus segregated from the Asian one, Bambusa. Kunth used the indigenous word "guadua"… Continue

UNDERSTAND FEAR FOR WHAT IT IS.

"To use fear as the friend it is, we must retrain and reprogram ourselves. We must persistently and convincingly tell ourselves that the fear is here-with its gift of energy and heightened awareness- so we can do our best and learn the most in the new situation"
Peter McWilliams

CHANGE HAPPENS ONE PERSON AT A TIME

"Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation." Senator Robert F. Kennedy

Women Waking the World

..... is a global initiative and movement to restore women’s wisdom, values, and influence for planetary survival. The imbalance of the masculine and feminine lies at the root of world problems--too much of one and not enough of the other in our understanding and outlook. Thomas Berry writes, “Women and the Earth are inseparable. The fate of one is the fate of the other.” The integration of the feminine dimension of life and consciousness is a missing link and essential element needed to set… Continue

HOLD TO WHAT IS TRUE.

" If we all can persevere, if we can in every land and office look beyond our own shores and ambitions, then surely the age will dawn in which the strong are just and the weak secure and the peace preserved".

President John F. Kennedy.

Cities of Light by J. Donald Walters

I just picked up this book and it is very interesting. It's about what communities can accomplish and the need for them in our times. I recommend it as good reading.

Weekly Tidbit: Relinquishing

Bear Heart, a Muskogee medicine man, wrote a book in collaboration with Molly Larkin called The Wind is My Mother. I have fallen in love with this book, so it might show up in more than a couple of these tidbits. One of the many things they wrote about that spoke to my heart is the difference between releasing and relinquishing.

If we give something to someone, we let go of it in order to give it. But if we have an attachment to what they do with it after we give it to them,… Continue
