Event Description

Sacred Spaces Village "Mystic Metropolis" at Burning Man 2010

Are you looking for a friendly, low-attitude, high-vibration place to "live" on the Playa at Burning Man this year?

Welcome home to Sacred Spaces Village!

The meal plan is prepared by Krishnas who bless the meals with song and light, and we are bringing back Chef Ocean, who will offer a daily gourmet raw vegan or vegan meals. (We share a refrigerated truck so we have crispy vegetables and refreshing fruits all week).

Here at Sacred Spaces, daily yoga and meditation classes are at your fingertips, exuberant Kirtan and Bhajan bands play during meals, we have some of the plushest solar shower setups on the playa (last year we had private dust free Starpods for dressing rooms!), a huge, brightly decorated shade area and 8 domes/yurts to chill out in -- and this year, we are adding an enclosed 50 x 50 ft. dining tent for windstorm-free dinners.

Those who contribute to the early arrival Set Up crew will get to share meals with the Playa's major artists as we host dinner parties to Feed The Artists every night.

"The Soul of Black Rock City", we, the Mystic Metropolis of the Playa are in a "village" complex at D and 6:30 adjacent to Red Lightning Village and Entheon Village, which whom we will be sharing solar power and other amenities. A short walk to the Esplanade and right next to center camp, we're at the center of action and yet still in space where we can hold our Sanctuary on the playa.

This year our Bhakti Stage will feature a fantastic line up of musicians: Afroliscious, Suzanne Sterling, Lakshmi Devi, Larisa Stow & Shakti Tribe, Kirtaniyas, Jef Stott, Here II Here, Sasha Rose, Wisdom, Jamie Janover, Temple Bhajan Band, Mama Crow, Eostar & Mathias, Auditory Canvas, Maesyn, TES, Satchi OM, Chloraphyll, AngelFreq, Mama Crow, CyberVixen, Bomb Goddess & Lotus Drops, Shamanatrix Missy Galore, Dj Feral, Dj Outersect, Airedtree, Janis Kelly, Dj Magika, Radiohiro, Priya Mohan, Micheal Garfield, Mama Love Magik, Alan Towers, Alchemy Devi, Dashama, Tantra Theater with Kamala Devi, Discourses & Darshan with Mirabi Devi and much more...

In the Chakra Temples, we're offering workshops, rituals, music, ecstatic dance, prayerformance and panel discussions on everything from Sacred Sexuality to Magick to Gift Economics, Permaculture and Ecovillages. Our 4th Chakra Healing Yurt will host massage therapists and energy workers gifting their healing talents, and our Bhakti Stage, booked by three professional event producers, Kennedy Carr of Sarva Dharma Productions, Janis Kelly of Boulder Colorado and Outersect/Rob Rayle from the Bay Area, brings a bi-coastal lineup that will be a "festival within a festival".

CommUNITY, kindness, lasting friendships, creative co-creation, a personal connection to the divine, pARTicipation and team-building are the Sacred Spaces experience.
