Spirit Rising Festival with the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers

On Saturday, August 21, from 11 am to 6 pm, at the Golden Gate Park Bandshell, all are invited to join “Spirit Rising,” a celebration of music, Native drumming and dance, a spirit walk for peace, and prayers for the waters, with Grandmothers Agnes & Flordemayo of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Carole Hart, Emmy and Peabody award winning director of the Grandmothers’ documentary film For the Next 7 Generations, will also be honored.
Entry is free, but donations benefitting the upcoming Grandmothers Council Gathering in Japan will be gratefully accepted. Spirit Rising is sponsored by Sure Thing Productions, the Center for Sacred Studies and Café Gratitude.
