"Knotless Netted Cotton Bag"
When: Tuesday, May 18, 2010
Time: 7 – 9pm
Cost: $15 Donation
Students will learn how to make a small netted bag using cotton fiber. Traditionally this technique of netting is used for making, bags, baskets and hammocks. The technique is over 5,000 years old.
Fiber makers particularly in Indonesia and South American still continue to make bags and hammocks using this same method.
