Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

Anyone else facing a Saturn Return? Mine is looming. Saturn in Libra is on its way.
For those here who have lived to tell the tale, what are/were the lessons for you?

It is said that Saturn, the Relentless Taskmaster, Karmic Kaptain, will knock 3 times during its transit, or slap one upside the head---3 times---until we hopefully "get it."

For me personally, while this current transit in Virgo is not my return---well, I wonder.
The lessons have been both idiotic, and yet I can see that I've been challenged to really look AT my
SELF, and what I'm willing to sacrifice of my SELF---in order to get on in the world.

Or---what I'm willing to sacrifice of my SELF for the sake of relationships and the glimpses back on the me I was the last time Saturn was in Virgo---and its impact on my health (Virgo).

To the more seasoned Crones---28 - 30 years ago---what were your lessons?
And, 56 - 60ish years ago, have those lessons come full circle for you?

No wonder you are energized, AW is being leaned on heavily and I'm feeling chronologically displaced... in calendar years my second Sat.return was 1999, but it FEELS more like NOW. I am in wonder & awe of the energies; still stepping into the unknown, baby steps, but what a ride! thank you both xM"

Okay, I've finally had the time to really try to digest what you posted, Marian. Can you explain this more? I knew in December and January, things were going to start rocking and rolling, astrologically.

When I look at my chart, or the charts of friends, and I wish I had more time to really delve into learning this more, so I look at the energy, or the archetypal representation of the various planets---and how that might be playing out in my life or the lives of others.

The energy of all of this lately, and I don't see it abating for a long time, has been both amazing and exhausting!

Annie: "I did the same AW. Only lasted 6 yrs. I was told by my xsister that Saturn was going into my 1st house (cancer) about the yr 2002. How do I know if Saturn is returning & where in the chart? I know some about astrology but not this. Can ya help me out here huh huh? When it returns will I get a great guy this time because of all the changes I've made internally? Oh wise seer can you see the future for me. With your big ole eye wha tdo you see!"

Annie, it takes Saturn 29.5 years to complete its trek through each sign of the zodiac. So, sometime right around one's 30th birthday, 60th, 90th birthday, Saturn returns.
Saturn spends almost 2.5 years in each sign. So while I'm looking at turning 57 shortly, the period leading up to my 60th, is Saturn returning to Libra, which is where it was when I first came back to this place! On astro.com, you can plug in your birth data and get all kinds of charts. Also, janspiller.com, you can do the same thing. And, she has a great book on North Node astrology called, Cosmic Love.

Ahhhh, you are most welcome!
The technical stuff with astrology has always not been my thing, but since being introduced to what transformation Saturn can bring, it's been hard for me to ignore!
Blessings,
AW

Thanks AW you have answered my questions. Bless you little Libra.
I meant to answer before now, but you girls are way ahead of me: both literally & chronologically...
had an 'interesting' day yesterday, so not much chat, sorry, but I DID manage to look up what I thought might explain this Saturn thing.

progressed chart,April 25,2009 April 25,saturn,sun & moon,Taurus

When you look at Saturn in the Valentine's Day chart (last week) and compare it with a couple of months down the road (above) you will see he's still leading the bucketload of other signs round the zodiac. He's in total control - - I was tempted to post the chart for a week earlier in April because it had a Sag. moon! (forgive us, Annie, AW likes to be reminded of her fiery inner self!) but this has other implications - because it shows the earliest time both sun & moon move TOGETHER from one sign to the next - which has been happening, give or take a few hours EVERY month this summer - & we're about to do it again in 2 days - Sun & Moon moving together from Leo x2 into Virgo x2. So, while Saturn is up there leading everyone down the garden path (the handle of the bucket), the sun & moon signs (us) are struggling hugely to keep our individuality...

A friend who does progressed charts sent the following as a kind of mitigating msg, just in case we are feeling absolutely lost, floundering in a cosmos dominated by this awesome giant... and it's always good to remember free will. We don't have to believe any of this if we don't want to... ahem. I'm the first to say head in sand is sometimes an option. And, for me, at least, Jupiter is sitting there in Aquarius, helping us look at the Big Picture with Abundance and Good Things to come (also my birth position, so that at least makes me happier).

My friend's quotes: apologies for length - for 'your' read 'our'
"
JUPITER
Your Jupiter sign is 17.0 degrees Aquarius and is in Direct motion.
You strive to become one with everyone, regardless of race, religion, color, or creed. Your
tolerance for different values and life styles often leads you to try them for yourself. You push
equality campaigns.

SATURN:
Your Saturn sign is 17.25 degrees Virgo and is in Retrograde motion.
You meet your responsibilities as though your life depended upon it. You are meticulous in
your attention to detail, and distrustful of others who are less thorough than you. Guard
against nagging others.
As a result of Saturn having been in retrograde motion, your search for success is based on
conservative planning. You build on the solid ground of your past experiences rather than
gambling on untested skills or adventurous impulses

URANUS:
Your Uranus sign is 23.14 degrees Pisces and is in Direct motion.
You are more interested in what goes on inside you than what's going on around you. You
have interesting dreams that you later interpret in your meditations. You enjoy your spiritual
experiences.
Your Uranus is in the Sixth House, Not on a House Cusp and Less Important.
You are likely to be nervous and high-strung. That works a hardship on those whom you
work with--leading to a mutual on-the-job irritability. You resent routine assignments. Take care
of your health.

NEPTUNE:
Your Neptune sign is 25.15 degrees Aquarius and is in Direct motion.
This will be the first generation of the twenty-first century. They enter into a period of peace
on earth and good will toward all humanity.

PLUTO
Your Pluto sign is 3.21 degrees Capricorn and is in Direct motion.
This generation is works in a a transition toward a more orderly way of governing the world
and its people" unquote

The Pluto thing which you, Aka Wreck, mentioned earlier is such an influence, rocking our boat, but it's also meaningful for the very young - those who are being born into this generation .
I know this is a long one, but this IS the Saturn Return thread & you DID ask! :) bless you both x Marian
