Another experience of Gratitude can be Loving what is. Byron Katie has a great book titled "Loving What Is". It creates a different kind of living experience.

One single gift acknowledged
in gratefulness has the power
to dissolve the ties of our alienation.

You're welcome Erin! I love being a vessel to bring about smiles! I think the other alternative to showing up for class in life is a sloooow death & I plan on sticking around here for quite awhile. I've claimed for years I'll be hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro on my 100th birthday... even if I just shuffle around the base of it. Lol. I'm so thankful for hopes and dreams because I dream big. Be blessed.

Grateful for affirmative actions to make amends, and the ability to not be a doormat.

I am grateful for every day I wake up healthy, with a roof over my head, food to eat and the company of my best friends - my animals in freedom and peace.

Thank you G- d

WORD FOR THE DAY(gratefulness.org)

A life of gratitude accepts the bad with the good.
Genuine gratitude is not a zero sum game in
which thankfulness increases the more fortunate
you are and decreases the more adversity
you experience.

I love the smell of Christmas,
along with all the lights.
Log fires in the fire place,
on those cold winter nights.

The smell of Christmas goodies,
that are baked with tender care.
The smell is just the greatest,
there's nothing to compare.

The evergreen's so fragrant,
the smell of Christmas season.
Like the hanging of mistletoe,
thats done for a good reason.

The red berries of the holly,
in that arrangement on the table.
Which I'm sure is much better ,
then Christmas in that stable.

Poinsettia's all around,
to balance off the garland.
Music boxes everyplace,
bought by my sweet darlin'.

Cinnamon and Peppermint,
fills the air thats in our house.
And what is stirring in the night,
is not the Christmas mouse.

Those pies that make me drool,
just sitting there on that shelf.
Is as if they were made special,
for that jolly old Christmas elf.

I am grateful for the ability & opportunity to learn from hardship & suffering. I can always measure my success at learning by looking at how much more Joy & Hope I have in my life now than I did a day, week, month or year(s) before. Sometimes I'm an A student, other times I fail... but I always show up for class to make the grade! Peaceful, blessed & happy holidays to you all.
