We THANK YOU & are Grateful for that input.
I wish the whole World were made Aware of ALL the Wonderful Contributions our
former President Carter & his Family have made to Humanit.
They don't Talk it, they Walk it. And that's beyond commendable in my book.
Bless U.

I am thankful for Jimmy Carter as well and his wife who both were humble enough to help build houses in the past for those less fortunate. His daughter has demonstrated before and I like a family that is not afraid to speak their mind.

Hey folks, yes Ron I got that from the course specifically, but also from the fact that pain, suffering, and misery I've experienced has a solution and can be minimized--but only from the inside. I'm grateful some folk get my dry jokes. Ron, I wish you the very best on your retreat. In your absence I'll post my "Postlude" blog. I'm grateful for you all, we can learn so much from each other. Best, Mike

I agree with U both dmike & Ron,,, as 21 years ago my yoga teacher who brought me back from a wheel chair diligently taught, “we can not always change the out side world, the only thing we Can change is ourselves, which in turn eventually changes the world around us”. She constantly asked me, “had U rather be Happy or Right” I replied,,, ”Well, sometimes I just wanna be Right”. However, I learned from that, just what U are saying here dmike - to concentrate not so much on events out side of my control, as much as my own reactions to both pleasant and unpleasant realities with equanimity.
For that I am Humbled & Very Grateful, as it’s served me well.
And LOL, I don’t usually stick my neck out there about Jimmy Carter, had my head bitten off to many times over that one by Unawake people, but Ron inspired me to feel safe in letting it All hang out, Thank U Ron !
Please Ron, share any Wise insights from Ur Vipassana retreat, may it be filled with the Blessing of much Joy, Love & Peace. Have a Safe journey.
Amber.

"Seriously, I am grateful to concentrate not so much on events outside of my control, as much as my own reactions to both pleasant and unpleasant realities with equanimity." Drmike, sounds wise to me - did you realize this in your ten day silent Vipassana retreat? I am leaving soon, to start the course tomorrow. I hope I get some insights like that. Thanks to you, Greg, & Jeanne, etc. for inspiring me, ron

I'm grateful someone else is putting their neck out regarding political views I share! HA! Seriously, I am grateful to concentrate not so much on events outside of my control, as much as my own reactions to both pleasant and unpleasant realities with equanimity.

Well I'm Very Filled with Gratitude to hear someone else besides me recognizes the Value of Jimmy Carter - Bless U Ron !!!!
Carter & Obama are The 'Only' 2 Presidents I have ever voted for, in my opinion they were the 'Only" 2 'Worth' voting for.

Gratitude to the wise Jimmy Carter: Kronkite said he was "the smartest of all the presidents he interviewed".
After more than 60 years together, Jimmy Carter has announced himself at odds with the Southern Baptist Church -- and he's decided it's time they go their separate ways.
Via Feministing, the former president called the decision "unavoidable" after church leaders prohibited women from being ordained and insisted women be "subservient to their husbands." Said Carter in an essay in The Age
