The image describes this architects' vision of one solution to the task of preserving farmland and reducing sprawl while fostering sustainable community that utilizes energy conscious technologies and public transportation systems. The concept involves an infrastructure that supports a vertically oriented community where people interact in a cooperative environment that supports the many varied lifestyles, interests and age groups of a thriving town population.

Designed and created by Dennis C. Hinrichs as his submittal to an international design competition sponsored by the Great Valley Center and the American Institute of Architects, titled HOUSING THE NEXT 10 MILLION.
