We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

Bruce Almighty

One of my most favorite actors is Jim Carey. A number of years ago he did one of his best movies - Bruce Almighty. In this movie Bruce, who is playing a television reporter in Buffalo. Incidentally, I grew up about 30 miles south of Buffalo, and I recognized the highway he got hit on as I-190 which runs up the Niagara river. Anyway, in this movie he was approached by God, played by Morgan Freeman. God offers to give him all of God's powers since Jim said he could do a better job. He soon becomes overwhelmed and the comedy ensues.

At the peak of the movie he wanders out on I-190 and gets hit by a vehicle. He then comes face to face with God, and they have a conversation. I think it's Morgan that tells him to "Be the Change" or something like that. At the end of it Morgan pokes him in the chest as the EMT's paddles shock him back to life.

After he gets out of the hospital he runs a blood drive - I think it was called the "Be the Miracle" blood drive. So he is following through and being the change.

So, where am I going with this? I recently received an email from the same reverend who told me about this site that reminded me very strongly of this same movie.

The real interesting part is where I was looking at the introductory videos on the home page and I saw a Youtube clip with Jim Carey!!!!!!!
