Hi everyone My son Mike told me about this place and I think it's great. My generation I am 47 somehow has become numb to what is happening in our world. How have we let our children think that solving their issues with violence is ok. We have turned a blind eye to taking responsibility to this. We need to stand up and tell our children and the world that it is not acceptable anymore to use violence to solve our problems. It doesn't work. I read a book once by Elizabeth Peters It was just a random book I found and in reading it there was one line of text the spoke out to me, It reads as follows Quote..."HATE is a destructive emotion, but it does not destroy the object of HATRED. It destroys the one who HATES." Since reading this I have take the word Hate out of my life and have asked my children to be careful about using that word. It is a word that if used it's very hard you put it out there and there is no taking it back. Let me know what you all think. We need to change our world make it better this site is a great beginning.

Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for the comment glad to hear from you I have 5 children 4 of which are in college I sent my one daughter that photo and she loved it so much she printed it and hung it up in her dorm room. She is an RA and inspires people to be green. I love the bird in you photo it's beautiful.

Welcome to our new reality. We can indeed make a difference. Your words are true and I'm so glad you have joined us. I am 52 years old and realize that we can impact the present and the future. I have learned so much from Jerry, Diane and Carlos in the ways to enrich and accept my life and others.

The photograph is really amazing and touching. Makes me smile and know we can do this.
