We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.
So after over a year on unemployment, I may have landed a job. "Finally" I say to myself. Then I ask my self "finally?". Spending time at home with my family and especially my young kids, I really don't know if I want to go to work. We have not really suffered this "recesison" although we did make cuts in things we really did not need. We learned to
budget our money and spend on only necessary things. Our kids appreciate a treat with more enthusiasm and are learning that they are lucky to have what they have. But in the end, I'll go back to work, but this time with a better perpesctive of what life is all about. Not materialistic things, or what money can or can not buy, but family and togetherness. It's like a child with the big box the present came in. The toy is on the floor all by it's lonesome while the box is being enjoyed as a hide out. It's the simplicity of life we enjoy and are learning to get back to. Perhaps God does work in mysterious ways and the recession was made to teach us to set aside what we materialistically value and pay attention to what we take for granted. God is good, life is good.
