We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.
I posted this as the opening post of my blog in the Agents of Conscious Evolution (ACE) Ning-site a few months back. It is just as applicable here, especially given that the first round of ACE training ever conducted has just completed (I am now certified :-) and I am actively developing new lines of connection and communication.
I have spent a life time pursuing a very eclectic path and wondering where it lead. I know where that path was leading now and I am very happy to be here with you all. In the course of that strange and eclectic journey, I have collected a very fat notebook of what I think of as the "crystals" of human wisdom that I have encountered along the way. The one that I have kept on, or in, the front of the notebook throughout has been this ~
"Whenever you go out of doors, Draw the chin in,
Carry the crown of the head high, &
Fill your lungs to the utmost;
Greet your friends with a smile, and
Put soul into every handclasp.
Do not fear being misunderstood, &
Never waste a minute thinking about your enemies.
Try to fix firmly in your mind what you would like to achieve, and then, without violence of direction,
You will move straight to the goal.
Keep your mind on the great and splendid things you would like to do,
and then, as the days go gliding by,
you will find yourself unconsciously seizing upon the opportunities that are required
for the fulfillment of your desire,
just as the coral insect takes from the running tide the elements that it needs.
Picture in your mind the earnest useful person that you desire to be,
and the thought you hold is hourly transforming you
into that particular individual.
Thought is supreme. Preserve a right mental attitude...
The attitude of Courage, Frankness, and Good Cheer.
To think rightly is to create.
All things come through desire, and
Every sincere prayer is answered.
We become like that upon which our hearts are fixed.
Carry your chin in & your head high.
We are gods in the chrysalis."
