Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

Hi All. Not sure as to how I should start. My name is Don and I live in the town of Hollister, California. Were known as the “creep capital of World” as we have earthquakes here. Lots of earthquakes. However we almost never feel them as they are very small.

I'm a retired Air Force analyst as well as a retired security officer. While in the Air Force one of my jobs as an analyst was to monitor seismographs for earthquakes. After retiring from the Air Force I continued studying earthquakes and faults in the hopes that one day I could learn how to predict quakes. So far I haven't been able to predict the big ones, but I haven't given up on that.

I lived in Japan for 10 years. It is my second home. That is also where I got my education in seismology. I love the outdoors so it was only natural that I walked the faults. However the walking days are over because of the miles on the old body. However I still get around as I do have friends that have horses that I can ride. I go horse back riding quite often. I also fly, but not as often as I like. The cost of fuel, insurance and maintenance makes it almost impossible and having suffered a heart attack in 1994 I don't think it's a good idea for me to be piloting a plane.

That is about it for me. Take Care...Don
