Thanks for the opening drmike, I am grateful to Isaac Baily, my new teacher/friend whose new book is titled A Proud Black Southerner>(And I still will not eat watermelon in front of white folks). I highly recommend it for those interested in someone growing up to consciousness in the South(yes drmike, it can be done). here is to healing humor, ron
PS. I wish Tom Watson the elder had won the British Open- a TV announcer said that he conquered his anxiety by learning to control his breath - 4 ct. on inbreath & 4 ct exhale - but that should go on meditation group I guess?)

Ibid to Marinspin. Bing cherries rock, and good watermelon--especially those red ones from Texas, where I'll be in 10 days. I wish Ron could give some of that sweet crisp melon to all the grouchy people in S. Carolina---HA!

I'm grateful to my son, and good friends who enjoy the game of golf. Glad there is great TV because that's a far hop to see the British Open otherwise...

Peace,
Mike

I am very thankful it is summer good weather and my favorite time of year. The fact it is cherry and watermelon season makes me happy too.

Gratitude is so close to the bone of life...
WORD FOR THE DAY(gratefulness.org)
Thursday, Jul. 16

Gratitude is so close to the bone of life,
pure and true, that it instantly stops the
rational mind, and all its planning and plotting.

I'm grateful for this youngster Adam Lee (see "featured members") who just joined AOAND. What a talent! I am floored to see maturity and consciousness in the youth, because are just so many that lack it! I'm grateful I'm getting to an age when it is no longer about me personally, as much as what can I do to make it better for the generations that follow behind.

Best,
Mike

My children now seem to get lost in Karuna Bajracharya's music 'Little Boy From the Woods' and many more to have downloaded from the Utube. I feel gratitude for Karuna that my children are less frequent in saying that they are bored. Otherwise, they spent hours at the music/video/games shop and came out with the same word: 'Pa, we are bored'. Even after having bought so many things.

Karuna comes to me whenever he comes to Nepal and only thing I do for him is try to help him with the computer problems. I'd known him from his beginning into this earth as son of a friend of mine. This time he surprised me with copies of music he'd produced. Couldn't believe how graceful this boy had grown up to and feel gratitude for how my boys feel pride unto him and spend their time in his music. Parkour is even more fun. Equally feel gratitude for Utube for sharing all this for everyone for practically free.

I'm grateful for prayer and meditation as a vehicle to obtain balance, peace, serenity, and inspiration for the Power's goals for me.

To feel gratitude for the things that you experience is to be proud of yourself in having lived the past time of your life correctly. Truth is usually bitter and many times in our past we almost thought of dithering away from the truth 'cause you thought that there was no one to judge you. Many years later, you feel proud of yourself that you chose the right way and you become very happy that you have lived your life correctly and it even rewards you.now.

Many people ask me the secret of looking younger. The answer is very simple, I did not smoke, drink and worry. But, it is very difficult to do so. I felt very different myself specially, in the parties and in the gatherings. Now, many people of my age cannot drink, smoke and have to abstain from many foods and beverages and they look older than their age and I feel gratitude that i do not refrain from any food or drink now.

Do good and be good, it will be rewarding someday indeed.

All the best to you all.
