The poem/chant
Spiraling Home, which came through me a few weeks prior to September 11th, 2001, is a clarion call for now. There's tremendous power in hearing the words spoken aloud. Chant it or sing it, and see what happens inside you!

Gliding, sliding
Coming out of hiding;
Purging, merging
Acknowledging the…

"The secret of all victory lies in the organization of the non-obvious."

"If you can organize your kitchen, you can organize your life."
~ Louis Parrish
There are different ways to regulate your life and the organized attitude leads us to perceive a singular order for each being event or circumstance. Things tend to flow better when we organize according with the principles of… Continue

Can music be a force for change? There are many claims as to the transformational power of music. What's your view on this ? The alignment of socially progressively movements with musicans of a ll genere's is age old are artists simoly reflecting these social movements or can they instigate change?

an excerpt from a letter to “The Victorian”
Names have been changed in the following excerpt to protect the innocent:
...Did u hear the one about the Harvard grad, the Buddhist monk, the Atheist, and the Born-again Christian? Me neither, but they have been staying with friends of mine over the last week... some people should just have cameras following them around so that they can broadcast their entire quirky lives for the world to…

Love is Healing.
In honor of Valentine's Day, we will just share our favorite Love Poem:
Sonnets From the Portuguese XLIII.
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need,… Continue

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
A good day to start a bog. Not sure how to name it yet and I think it will evolve and spring to my mind one day.
I must discuss the book I found yesterday, that has completely enthralled me. "The Daily Coyote" by Shreve Stockton. Also on blog. I read 4 pages at the store, which I never do and stood in line reading; I could not put it down.
Her first book, so compelling she will surely be one of the great writers of our time. It's about how she moved…

Hi all you brothers & sisters
Yesterday I walked through the door of AOAND --- inspirated through my Love & Inspiration C.S. :-)
I'm deeply longing for more and need some help in dealing with this overwhelming side (language barriers of understanding, technique, connections ...)
But here I am: A 50 year old fellow, married, two Daughters (16 & 25) and a protestant Pastor (liberal, öcumenical, near to Tillich & Bonhoeffer, a little bit Zen-proofed…

This is excerpted from my February
What Shines newsletter two years ago:
We become "the Light of the world" first within our own beings; then we're able to shine this radiance outward. It's like any other learning process: we can only serve others from a well that runs full and deep.
In this spirit, I offer you an evocative embrace from Derek Walcott (sounding…

Anthropic means 'of or relating to human beings or the period of their existence.' This relationship between man and the cosmos is said to be through intelligent design. Only a small range of possible values for the universal constants (such as the mass of an electron) are consistent with the presence of life as we know it. The significance of such apparent fine-tuning of the universal constants is disputed by those who regard it as trivial and those who argue from it to the necessity of life…

"Nobody loves you like your mother."

Within each of us there exists a duality of male and female, the yin and the yang. When we implement our capacity to support and nurture, we are exercising a maternal attitude. This attitude liberates our talents to manifest our feelings of… Continue

In mid-February a rare astrological alignment brings a number of planets together with the North Node - denoting higher purpose - in Aquarius. This energizes and inspires the possibility for transcendental breakthrough in some seemingly intransigent situations.
Here's what cosmologist Jude Currivan, PhD, has to say about this Valentine's Day:

Mahalo for your warm heart of sharing. It is a way that many of us can encourage and assist others to open up their Hearts, Minds, Body and Spirit. I practice very whole Heartedly with Ho'oponopono, something that has kept going for thousands of years by my ancestors Generation to Generation.
Ho'oponopono:
Ho'oponopono—setting to right; to make right; to correct; to restore and maintain good relationships among family, and family-and-supernatural powers. A family conference in…

Passing it on!
It is no secret that I am very passionate when it comes to the art of drumming. I have and most importantly continue to dedicate my whole life to study drumming and constantly reinvent myself in the never ending search of different ways to play the drums. And I never seem to tire of that. With that comes also the desire to pass on and share the knowledge I have gained through out my expierence. simply put. I love to teach as much as I love to play. with that in mind I…

On Feburary 16th 2008 I was reminded why I became a musician and what performing live really is all about. I had almost forgotten. I was performing with eXonda at a small venue called "Lefty's" in a small town called Lindenhurst. I had performed there before on numerous occasions with various acts from R & B bands, Rock bands even Jazz bands. The crowd there is very difficult in the regard that it is made up of the "regular" bar crowd, blue collar workers in there 30's and 40's, young…
