Event Description

This year's State of the Arts 2012 symposium is designed to present a unique perspective on cutting edge trends in the arts and media and their effect on education, society and culture. The goal of the symposium is to illicit dialogue around the function of art and media in society and education, emerging communications and technologies, the phenomena of the Electronic Music Dance culture, emerging forms of art and media, new career opportunities and the social impact and responsibility of creating with conscious intent from a cross-disciplinary perspective.

This year we introduce f2: FUTUREFEST, a 21st Century "Worlds Fair" of culture. This experiential showcase features cutting-edge entertainment technology exhibits, arts, performances, music, films, new types of educational experiences. We will also be screening ELECTRONIC AWAKENINGS followed by an Electronic Dance Party featuring DJs and VJs curated by EMA: Electronic Music Alliance.
