Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

As an individual, I am an old man. Holistically, however, I am a ‘cell’ in a very young Humanity. I think, if the life cycle of Humanity could be condensed to that of an individual, I’d say that we are at the adolescent stage; the awakening of conscience. In this respect, we are on the brink of adulthood.

Perhaps there is nothing mysterious about the prophesies of 2012. When I first noticed the accelerated growth of fine hair sprouting on my face, I concluded that, in a year or so, I’d be able to grow something akin to a beard. Does the fact that it proved to be the case make me a sage? A prophet?

Well, no. Of course doesn’t. I had tapped into the general knowledge we have of our own life cycles and the changes we go through. Possibly, the individual cells of my body were not aware of these predicted changes in the same way that the whole being understood them. Perhaps they sensed that something was about to happen and there might even have been a few pessimistic cells declaring: “The End of The Body is nigh!”

Well, maybe Humanity itself is now undergoing the changes of puberty. Perhaps we are about to depart the delusional stages of childhood. We can sense these changes but we cannot understand them as the whole being that is Humanity understands them.

Civilisations are in crisis. Global economies suggest that perhaps the whole concept of the monetary system has gone full circle and bumped into the illusion from whence it sprang. The corruption of power has come to a head and revealed itself and conflicts are no longer for such noble causes as freedom and justice. Could these be the suppurating sores on the acned face of a young Humanity fresh out of High School and nothing more?

In many ways, I think the date: December 21st 2012 is arbitrary. It is a tool to give volition to the changes we need to make consciously as individual cells in the Body of Humanity. In that respect, it could be a self-fulfilling prophecy; an Ouroboros devouring its own tail without even knowing why and muttering “Hey… just tryin’ to make ends meet, man!”

Yes. Maybe it does herald the End of The World we have come to know. We’ve been through Ends of The World before. Hearts that bond in True Love are invariably hearts that have been broken in love’s fumbling early rehearsals. The solidity of adulthood follows the chaos of puberty and every new life follows the pain and tearing asunder of childbirth.

We’ve been through many Ends of The World and, if there is one thing we have learned, it's… well, it isn’t the End of The World, is it?
