When Carlos mentioned, "reconnecting with the inner light" I felt the light grow within me. Like I did in the 60s, and like I do when I hear a favorite Santana song. It's very spiritual, but very earthy simultaneously. I live it when I perform as well. I feel this connecting is what many of us experienced in the 60s, and then was lost. For those of you too young to have experienced the rock revolution of the 60s + early seventies, check out the classic rock. It's all about the inner path. Thanks again Carlos, for the 60s and for now!

It was late 1970, and for my birthday, my sister had a surprise birthday present, tickets to a concert, at the Old Fillmore East, in Manhattan and it headlined " Santana ". Geez ! I said to myself, I've never been to a concert before, so I had lots of apprehension. My sister calmed my nerves, and informed me " Mil, you'll like this guy, he's an up and coming Guitarist " I shot back, " Yeah Right ! " anyways, the day arrived, and in those days, the Village in New York City, was the melting pot for Music. As the lights, came up and the music started, I was thrown back into my chair, by the driving latin beat, congas and timbales in sync and from behind the amps, I could see a Mop of hair, and he was holding a guitar...........Wow !! I said to myself.....I asked my sister, " Who is the guitarist ? " she leaned next to me and whispered " Carlos Santana "....then another guitarist appeared, I found out, he was Neal Schon. We were treated to a selection of songs, from the first 2 albums and a new album, which was yet to be released entitled " Santana 3 ".

I was hooked !!! the band lineup was incredible, the tightness of the band was surreal !! the deafening solo's were classic !! since that magic moment, I've become a loyal follower of the band and it's leader Carlos Santana...

I salute you " Mi Hermano " for years of touching, the hearts of so many !!

In 1970 - I was 12 - the SANTANA 3 - Album crossed my way, reached my ears from a UHER-Tape-Recorder and I felt a fascination ...

Then I was deeply blowed away by CARAVANSERAI (his best?? ..noyeysno?) ... and also deeply touched by BORBOLETTA and LOVE & DEVOTION & SURRENDER ... and got involved in the spiritual Vibes of Devadip (while learning about Meditation as a YMCA-guy at that time ;-))

After AMIGOS, FESTIVAL & MOONFLOWER I started my Studie-Years ... and was not very impressed or touched by the following "Pop"-Albums *sorry, carlos*

But then he was back with MILAGRO up to today ... and nowaday I own (CDs/DVDs/LPs & some Rarities) & love in its own way every Output of Mahatma "Great Soul" Carlos ...

Now Playing: Gypsie/Grajonca from Milagro

be blessed, Carlos-Fellows

There is so much written in the language of music. To give out the strong idea and to show it from all of the sides until everyone sees that there are no sides... Just Unity.

In 1969 after Woodstock I lived in an Old Mansion called Toad Hall in Washington DC. The house was dark in candle light and thru the night to the rising of the Orange Sunshine. The vibrations of your guitar, vocals, and drums became the life, breath, heart, and harmony of every particle of rainbow dust that held together Toad Hall and I felt blessed to have been awakened to your music and then to be set up at Grace Cathedral on the floor before you playing Tibetan Bells and Horns
for the Angela's benefit was truly a Blessing. Thank You for your beautiful words and harmony. More Love and Light from the Heart. Karma Moffett
