Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

Call me freak, but today I've been listening to Caravanserai for the tenth or eleventh time in a week, I can't stop listening to that album, if I had to choose a Santana album, Caravanserai is the one for me, the more I listen, the more I find little details like parts of Concierto de Aranjuez in Waves within or Breezin in Song of the wind...

I listen to Ultimate Santana Multi Demensional Warriror Dance of the Raimbow Serpent and lots more
Could you believe that Multidimensional warrior has not been released in spain yet???
Hi hector, Yea it took me a long time to realize that Song of the wind was insprired by Breezin' and there it is right there in the title. Carlos just has a way of putting his own mark on his interpretation of something.
Hey Hector, don't worry, you're not a freak. The same thing is happening to me with the album "Abaraxas"- been listening to it over and over for the past week. I think thats what's great about the music of Carlos Santana, the more you listen to a particular album, the more better it gets. Ciou
You are so right, my friend...its so complex...it requires many listenings

that's what we need to bring back into modern music again...these guys were so ahead of their time

weaving the ancient the ephemeral and the sublime

you're not a freak.

you're being reminded of your humanity in works like this...

For me it's almost a pleasure to forget some of the music, because there's such delight when I rediscover something...... A case in point from my recent musical voyages: pretty much the whole of Santana 3. (Great psychedelic cover art too!). But I agree - Caravanserai is definitely a great album and one in which you can constantly find something new. How does Carlos do it?!
Hector,

It has been said by Carlos himself, that his best guitar work is on Caravanserai. This Album marked the change musically from the afro / latin roots to Coltrane.
Sí Emilio, I can understand why!!!! I listen to it early in the morning as the sun is risin' and late at nite when I'm in my bed, it's such a feeling of lovelightjoy!!!!!!
Hey Hector..I'm with you,my fav Santana album, closely followed by 3 and Abraxas..

Robin
I hear the Breezin references, Gabor Szabo as well.
At first when I was asked to join a Santana Tribute Band called Zebop! I was a little reserved I said to myself "Man I dont know if I want to get caught up doing the music of a single artist". WOW almost 1 1/2 later and almost 80 gigs later and with the growth of the song selection . I am so honored and humbled and just plain excited about the Multi-dimesional music that Carlos Santana brings to the table ROCK, SOUL, SALSA, etc it's all here from A-Z you could'nt possibly get tired of it. Thank you Carlos for your wisdom and your spirit heard through out all your phenomenal career..And special thanks to Antonio Marquez's band Zebop! I feel like I am in ten different bands its just awesome.
That is a great record
