Life is full of magic!I just become aware of one more magnificent magic in life the other day....I am in the habit of ( well if my condition allows at the time!:-) is to get the book my eye catches...One in many ( I still could not finish many of them, trying to read all at the same time!:-))))) while reading I came across to this...And suddenly something become so clear in my mind, something i always lived with although i knew its negative facts somehow that sentence opened up a bigger picture to me and made me aware in a very very happy way...
''Desire is always open to corruption, though. What we desire,we possess in our imagination.Desire hardens. When we desire someone we ''reify'' them,to borrow Jean-Paul Sartre's phrase. We want to bend them to our will, which is the influence of the Spirit of Opposition...''
The Secret History of The World by Jonathan Black

I happened to catch myself yet with other challenge, that I always put so much desire into anything I wanted to have..Friendship,career,love.....everything...!
I must admit in all my experiences the more i desired the more i felt pain!

Can this be a tip to be a step closer to happiness??
I think it is....!:-)
And I am so happy to seriously start to control my will for desired ones & things!

"Dutchie"=Natural greenage that contains happy elements. Grown all over the world, but in particularly pungent form in Jamaica. Can be made as brownies, but most prefered in transition to the gaseous form. Ask Dionne Warrick, and Peter Tosh about that one. HA!

May All Beings Be Happy

Buddhism teaches the transience of all things, a certain calm detachment from others and from oneself. We are taught not to take ourselves too seriously, and we are taught to believe that there is little ultimate truth in grief and misery. The real wisdom is joy. The real wisdom is happiness. The true wisdom is that of the Buddha, who is always shown at peace with all things.
p.104 A Journey in Ladakh by Andrew Harvey

Once the Buddha was asked to explain real happiness. He enumerated various wholesome actions which are productive of happiness, which are real blessings. All these blessings fall into two categories: performing actions that contribute to the welfare of others by fulfilling responsibilities to family and society, and performing actions that cleanse the mind

The one hit wonder from a very influential band for when I was a teenager.....Although I don't encourage passing actual dutchies, the theme was not meant to be too literally....HA!

WORD FOR THE DAY (gratefulness.org)
Tuesday, Sep. 8

For happiness one needs security,
but joy can spring like a flower
even from the cliffs of despair.
