Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

Hello Crones,

I am in mourning. Hobbes, my feline companion of 12 years, has not been home for 11 days. I miss him... everywhere in my life a cat sat, laid and purred... and now, a void. The garden misses him... misses him loving the moments in the sun, misses his appreciation.

My grandson had a dream of Hobbes death. ...but I don't know. I only know he is gone. Blessed be Hobbers Bobbers.

It started inocently enough... someone asked if I'd like a kitten... twelve years later, there's not a corner of my life where he didn't dwell. My eyes expect to see him laying on his back, legs in the air... basking and balming on the patio... but he's not there.

His absence has caused me to reflect on time, life and impermanence. Reminded me again to live the moment.

A crone without a cat,
Jeanne

I am sad to hear about your missing cat!!!It Is very hard loosing a member of the family!!!i hope you will be able to remember your cat and also take time to grieve!perhaps in the future you will think about getting a neither animal to have company with!!
Just not too soon.... i am saying some prayers for you!!! Hugs Aprilji
I understand how you feel and my heart goes out to you. I never use the word 'pet' because it doesn't truly represent their place in your life. They're friends and they're family. You communicate on a level that is beyond words. You both know what the other is communicating. There's no baggage that gets in the way of the relationship, no ego battles. Just a mutual, instinctive understanding.

Maybe another cat will come into your life but only Hobbes will ever be Hobbes. His home is now in your heart and, when it stops hurting, your old conversations will resume.

Give yourself a hug from me.

I am sorry for your loss. I know how much my feline companion means to me. May Hobbes be in a better plac.e
Whenever I need assistance for my felines I connect with IPSIS, who is a feline spirit, an architype. Ask IPSIS whether Hobbes has passed over and ask for guidance and signs. The 'not knowing' is the worst part and IPSIS understands this.

A little anecdote which may help: A couple of years ago I lost three of my cats to cat flu over an eight week period. The three who passed over were all aged and infirm - one had advanced dementia - and IPSIS indicated that this was nature's cull. I was burying the last of the three in my garden, patting down the soil with a spade when a car drew up and the driver (an 82 year old man) asked if I could take in his cat due to domesic problems. Poppet moved in with me, closely followed by Shadow (a feral cat) and Grace (an abandoned cat with brain damage). They all quickly adjusted into my remaining cat family and my grief was healed by these new additions. Interestingly, each of the new cats had a characteristic which reminded me of each of the cats I'd lost! If Hobbes has passed over, then IPSIS can tell you how and why.

A Crone must have her cats. I have asked IPSIS to connect with you and I send you love and blessings. XXX
Thank-you, Aprilji, Ron, Violette, Theresa and Melanie, for the kind words and heartfelt support... it means alot.

Peace be with you and with Hobbes - Blessed be - they usually go for that last long walk home alone - they don't want you to see them go - this way you always see them alive -

My Harry Canary shown above left us a couple of years ago - I held him as he took his last breath and I know he would have rathered I didn't see him actually go because it hurt so much - he was almost 17 years old - A Good Old Boy He was and we miss Him soooo very much! But I have these good old memories of him restling in the early morning with the boys and waiting for me every day at the window when I returned home from work - and of him jumping through our kitchen window because he didn't want us to leave without him - he was okay by the way - crazy Harry! :-) We miss him - we love him and we know he's out there waiting for us to come to see him on the other side - I'll be seeing you Harry - take a look see that Hobbers Bobbers finds his way safe. love you.

We had a special whistle for Hobbes... and he would come running. I still whistle for him everyday... in case he's out there somewhere he can hear me.
Thank-you Mother Crow, for sharing the photo and the still soft place in your heart for Harry Canary with us. 17 years is a long time to love another. Jeanne
