I'm grateful I don't have to take most of the negative people I met in life home with me....I'm grateful to continue to act and not react. I'm grateful everyday doesn't have to be hell, and when one is, there is always tomorrow.

I'm having a grateful day. A grateful day is when you appreciate what you have, even if it is less than you had yesterday. I had that lesson brought home to me this week when my washing machine expired and I called about an ad in the paper for one for sale. The woman I spoke to said yes, she had a machine for sale, but it was not available for a week and a half and everybody "wanted it today". So we both laughed and got to talking and she told me her story. She is still using her washing machine today, but when she has to move out of her house due to foreclosure next week, she will be happy to sell it to me. I got real grateful for my situation real fast.

WORD FOR THE DAY (gratefulness.org)
Wednesday, Sep. 9

There are all sorts of books which describe how to meditate and what formulas to pronounce during these meditations. I do not deny that they are beautiful, useful, and effective. But there are two words which are never mentioned, words which for me are the most powerful of all, words which clarify, which harmonize, and which heal, and these words are "thank you".

I'm grateful to see the day when my kid goes off to first grade tomorrow. I'm happy we got to spend some fun times this summer, and that we tried to read some good books, and write. It's great to see him enjoying life, and meeting challenges. Moms is ok too. HA!

The unthankful heart...discovers no mercies;
but let the thankful heart sweep through the
day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it
will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings!

As an independent filmmaker who makes films only for change and not for profit, I live in gratitude to God and all others who make my films possible

Blessings and gratitude to all..
