Physiologically, the males brain, in this case...i..e biochemistry, hormones, etc are all at elevated level--for some reason. Possibly, stress, over stimulation to anything..gambling. There is that need, an impulsive desire to engage in this kind of practice in order to fill that void within.

A man needs to realize this is a illness, in my opinion, and learn to decrease the threshold of want, desire, stimulation, impassivity...

Japa Mediation, entering into silence, communication amongst both parties about all of their fears, anxieties, insecurities, etc. . If you are afraid to talk about it..say it anyway. One will feel some much lighter. The truth heals. Love and forgive. It will set you free.

I knew someone who was in that same position, and went to a different doctor---who said..you are taking too many meds. The good news, he is now 100 percent free from his ailment and is not taking any medications whatsoever. Running, active, doing things he never imagine possible.

You body is holistic..it is intuitive...it knows how to heal itself. It know when you are hungry, sleepy, etc.

Rest and regaining energy, vitality...involves going through a cleansing process. In most cases it is normal to feel sad, tired, pain, etc. A array of different physiological changes take places, in such cases, to restore the natural balance of the self. Normal homeostasis.

One good way to fight lethargy, per say--- is to ALWAYS make a commitment to never allow enter in your mind that you are tired or not healthy. That will get rid of 50 percent of your tiredness and make your health the same improved.
