Kai-Kai Emerges

I feel that this piece is one of my most profound channelings. The teal portion is the head and neck of my friend's dear departed boa constrictor. She is shedding her final skin and taking on the top plume of a condor, while exploding through heavy flesh and bone casing, forming a birth canal from the back of my head. I am pictured as the skull facing in the other direction, with visible protruding tong, eye socket, chin, neck and shoulders.

I was not aware of being in any unusual state while creating this piece, but a friend of mine who interrupted me while drawing this picture was taken aback by the expression on my face. One thing I can attest to is that the completion of "Kai-Kai Emerges" marked the end of almost three years of mourning. You have finally transcended, Kai-Kai!

This piece has elements of Mayan, Aztec or other Messo-American art.
