Melody of Life and Every Single Moment--New Songs

These songs came to me as I sat enjoying nature in one of my favorite spots.

Melody of Life

The melody of life has its own rhythm.
Listen for it and you’ll hear.
All the myriad parts will soon fit together
And an arrangement will appear.
At first it will seem to be quite random,
With nothing to connect it all,
But suddenly it comes together
And you hear it all in harmony.
I give thanks for my awareness of this
Portion of my reality.

Every Single Moment

In every single moment of life
We choose what we focus on.
Right now I have the choice
Of focusing on the beauty of this day,
Or I could focus on the sound of the lawnmower
On the other side of the river,
And let it spoil this perfect day
To enjoy being alive.
I choose to focus on the beauty,
And as I proved many years ago,
When that is what I go looking for,
That is what I’ll find, no matter where I am.
That’s what I choose to find;
So it shows up for me
Out of all possibility.

Joy, thank you for sharing this with us. What a beautiful reminder---we can focus on the beauty and the gifts, or the lawnmowers of distraction.
We have the choice to select our focus and what we see, hear and feel!
