Hi.
I am exhausted by religion. While I love the semiotics of religion, and communication with the source, the ONE, a marvelous experience, I have become tired by the emphasis of 'importance' to any particular sect of faith.
I know when I am awake, or I am asleep there is communion always with the entire existence I was invited to be a part of when I was given a conscious experience in flesh that cannot be the same without the ability to manipulate a shape.
I…

Happiness is a personal experience that can pass as quickly as it came. The fastest way to lose it is to try not to… and the best way to keep it is to give it away. You may already know that Happiness is not a place, a time, a result or a circumstance. It can’t be bought, sold, or even measured.
Don’t expect to find it here either -- it is not on this page.
This page is about how to feel happy right now in this moment… and not a little…

Our sense of Vitality is a function of our light divided by our sense of loss. If and when we focus on "loss" we rob ourselves and others of our light.
Notice your thoughts of lost time, lost opportunities, lost love, lost health... don't resist, just notice when that sense of loss is consuming your energy and diminishing your light... and then choose to shine your love instead.
Ray Charles, for example, did not focus on…

Monkey Mind is described by Wikipedia as a Buddhist term meaning "unsettled; restless; capricious; whimsical; fanciful; inconsistent; confused; indecisive; uncontrollable." It is often used as a psychological metaphor for the chattering conversations in our mind hosted by "the Committee" .... conversations that often results in feelings of worry or anxiety. It is the left side of our brain that likes to justify our participation in these discussions; the part of our mind that likes to figure…

I love words. Words keep me sane, yet I see how I have placed limitations upon myself depending on my perception around the meaning of a word. My perception of peace may be different than yours, and if I remain stuck in my perception I may miss an opportunity to expand my vision of peace within myself. It has been a bit of a challenge at times to let go of my limiting perceptions – but worth it….

There is something about my notebook that I find comforting. The sound of my pencil scratching the words of my soul across the page brings me peace within. I fill it with the stories from my mind, happy, confusing, painful at times, but it doesn’t matter, there are no limits on what I can share within the sacred pages of this book.
The safety provided by my notebook, my objective listener cannot be matched. My notebook does not talk back, judge, invalidate or advise. It allows me to…

FOLLOW YOUR INSTINCT AND MOVE FORWARD.
“The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainty in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and calls that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow men, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity.”

Harnessing the Energies of Love
WORD FOR THE DAY
Friday, May. 15 (gratefullness.org)
Someday, after we have mastered the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love. Then for the second time in the history of the world, we will have discovered fire.

Dear Friends,
I awakened early with great anxiety. Feelings of loneliness and separation overwhelmed me. Then I remembered to write my gratitude. Start Gratitude, a practice of mental cleansing. All of the heaviness I felt lifted, and suddenly I felt as if I could cope. All of my despair over recent losses and anticipated losses disappeared, with the practice of gratitude....I am grateful for the love in my life; the aloneness...it is a time to develop gratitude and finish projects,…

I think about Love – a lot. In fact I’m sure some people wish I would think or talk about something else for awhile. I am trying to change my perception around this word, from what I believe it “should” mean, into knowing it can mean what I choose it to.
Do I limit my potential to love by categorizing it? I believe I do. I mean, if I love you like I love my mom, sisters, dog or iguana, how do I choose who goes into which category? What traits do you have to have before you are worthy…

The use of gratitude as a transformative tool has been known to me since about 1980. Right around the time I got the name "Charly" I also got a lot of new and powerful tools. But having a tool and knowing how to use it can be two very different things; the learning curve was steep and long with this one. Cultivating "an attitude of gratitude" is a challenge if your head is filled with stinking thinking, woulds, coulds, shoulds, oughts and if onlies. To choose the action of writing each…
