Tommy, That is a really great idea. Both are superior guitar master and I do not know either one personally but from what I can tell neither one of them have egos that would stand in the way of collaboration. To me, when I see too talented artists together the adlib part is what makes it work.

I saw Jose Feliciano recently and he was fantastic. One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Of course I have much appreciation for the aucustic guitar player...he rocks. And he also has a great sense of humor. I bet Jose and Calos have collaberated before.

That would be a great cd, I met Jose Feliciano two years ago when I was performing at the Mohegan sun casino, he was also performing there in a different day. Carlos Santana and Jose (the best)

Have you guys ever heard the Santana 3/23/71 Show from the Forum in LA. Jose Feliciano sits in with the original santana Band and takes over! I had the pleasure of giving Jose a copy of that show a couple of years back and he was happy to have it.

Dear friends, I have just associated with www.villagedirect.org and I am particularly interested in helping Liberia. As many of you know, Liberia is just returning to normal after almost 20 years of civil wars and massive corruption. I tried getting investors interested but that is hard because they have almost no infrastructure and much of the remaining population is Illiterate. So I have decided the best way to help them is through the entertainment industry. With the Internet we can now assemble DVDs and programs without having to have all the performers show up in one place.
Don't get me wrong. It will never be quite the same as being there. There is a live energy that can't be replaced. The issue however is that there are many reasons why live concerts leave out many people. They are usually very loud. I have very good hearing, even at 60, so I quit going to most live performances because of the intense sound. I know for a fact many young people already have serious loss of hearing. Getting to the point!!!! Tommy, why don't you ask Carlos and Jose if they would get together and do a new song for a production to benefit Liberia. I have even written part of a song for children. I have a rough melody, etc. to go with the lyrics but I would be interested to see what a real musician and song writer would feel from the words. [e-mail]
