GOD LOVE

FROM DEEP WITHIN COMES A BURNING LOVE--IT'S A GOD LOVE, AND HE SAYS TO ME, "DAWN, MY CHILD............

LOVE yourself...LOVE your beloved GOD...Get through the DARK places...

Detach YOURSELF from YOUR kindred MAN, WOMAN, and CHILD...KNOW THYSELF...

LOVE ME that I may LOVE THEE...IF Thou LOVEST ME--NOT, I can in no wise LOVE thee...

THOU art a GOOD, KIND, and LOVING servant...

Take NO HEED of what others may THINK of THEE--WE LOVE THEE...

NONE of this MORTAL LIFE is of the least IMPORTANCE...

Prepare THYSELF for YOUR JOURNEY HOME...

LOVE THINE enemies, for they LOVE--NOT, even themselves...

YOUR HEARTis PURE, and YOUR SOUL is waiting to be RELEASED unto the KINGDOM on HIGH...

WEEP NOT that YOUR LOVED ones UNDERSTAND--NOT, YOUR HEART--WE UNDERSTAND, and LOVE THEE!!!

Greetings to all of my writer friends. I am working on a poem I wrote a few weeks ago. I'll share it soon. Peace and Love, I'm new, so please bare with. LOL. Your new friend, Dawn PS. I am not as young as I look in that picture, it was taken in 1994--it was the only one I could find that fit. :):)

My favorite Rumi Poem:

The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond

(translated by Coleman Barks)

And now to Afghanistan? Pity us, for we know what we do and do it anyway.

Drumming-dreaming

After midnight I came to sing a song
to lull you into an enchanted dreaming.
Happy drumming whilst you sleeping:
The heat of the beat gently warming your feet,
The perfect synch of the pulse setting your soul into the flow
of flawless numbers, organic mathematics
and the voices of stars and such.
The dream circle locking into the rhythm of universal oneness,
And so the heart-beat of the mother becomes roundly
pregnant always giving life right on the dot,
Grandfather fire gives us the sacred anchor
that grounds us while in the journey,
Wind the perennial messenger sweeps the sound of drums
In the current of its sinuous and whimsical waves
then releases them far in the distance of space and time.
Flags flying like eagles, beat-wind speaks drumming natural cycles.
Singers and drummers play to pray,
dance to healing, play to be, play to give
and within the eternal loop, play to receive.
The drum connects us with the timing of the great heart,
The pulse is the key to the divine labyrinth of the inner-self,
The drumming is the mother ship that will take us
to the times before time, beyond the future and into timelessness,
The groove is the fire-blood which is fuelling the trance-dance
to transcendence and as the cycle comes to close the loop,
it brings the chants thus calling the spirit allies
that are escorting us in this sacred journey.

Hold On

Hold on to what is good,
Even if it's a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe,
Even if it's a tree that stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do,
Even if it's a long way from here.
Hold on to your life,
Even if it's easier to let go.
Hold on to my hand,
Even if someday I'll be gone away from you.
