have a fantastic day and year, love and blessings, Sharon
Sorry for the delay in reply. Been publishing books.
Events need a few basics:
a place: such as a living room, a bookstore, a church or other space.
I can work with you in securing a venue in Ashland. I can call local bookstores and churchs.
an audience: such as a church group, a reading group, a newsletter group.
If you have a community you could appeal to for participants this would help. I would also publicize in my newsletter.
a prepaid fee: you would normally get this by getting some people to pay in advance.
This money funds my and Seth's trip there and back by car plus expenses like food and hotel room if I have to spend the night.
This would include any room or church space rentals involved so we could pay that.
Naturally, the larger the turnout the better.
To make it economically feasible:
Let's say you would have the event in your house.
You expect an audience of 20 people at $65.00 each for an event.
You collect the fees from 10 people in advance.
You send us the $650.00 to pay for our transportation etc.
We do the event and the other participants show up and maybe a couple more. 12 X 65 = 780.
You take a percentage for your work and we take the rest.
We could charge a nominal fee, like $20.00 for the event and then offer private sessions there or in a hotel room for an additional charge. The fee structure can be worked out any number of ways.
Some people make it a regular event and hold workshops 4 times a year ongoing.
The fees vary according to length of program during the day.
A two-day program would cost more to produce.
Let me know if you would like to carry this further.
Thanks for your interest in Seth and me.
