Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

When you were a child, did you ever wonder

how it was we humans decided

that whatever land we lived on was ours?

or wasn't ours,

and was owned by someone else

who should be paid for the use of that land?

Does that sound like a silly question?

OK, then consider this:

I bought land from someone,

who bought it from someone

who bought it from someone, etc. ...

all the way back to ...

when?

When did we start thinking of Mother Earth

as a thing to be packaged for sale,

instead of being seen as a loving being

who nurtures all of her children?

Why do we continue?

And more importantly:

* How would we prefer to live?

* What do we want for our children?

* And our children's children?

Just wondering ...

'cause whatever we will have then
is being created in our minds
right now ...

It seems to pivot on how we view ourselves, others and the earth ...

and it also seems to me that we will be re-visioning all of that together in the near future, as we re-make our way of living in this world ... :)

I have wondered about this too. How do we think we can own a piece of earth? Think about whoever was the first to claim it. Did he have to defend his right to own it? Very interesting thing to think about.
