Architects of a New Dawn

We’d like to show the side of the world you don’t normally see on television.

Hi Gang!

Through a Twitter connection I was led to SilverPlanet.com, a site focused on all aspects of positive aging, and they've happily begun re-publishing my articles on aging well. Enjoy, and if you're on Twitter, pls Tweet 'em!

Thanks for the link, Amara. I briefly glanced at silverplanet, but will return for a more in depth look. Congratulations on the re-publish.

And thanks for the opportunity to revisit Ellie... she helps put things in perspective.
Thanks, Jeanne! I'd forgotten I'd blogged about some of the age-related pieces several weeks ago. Between my various social networks, Health Wealth and Wisdom blog, What Shines newsletter, articles, etc., it's difficult to remember what I wrote yesterday :-)

Hi Team!

Here's my latest article on Silver Planet:

Homecoming

Enjoy ~

Hi Dear Violette ~

Thank you so much for reading my contributions! Great site, isn't it? So much useful material. As I pen other pieces that have an aging/eldering focus, yes, I'll submit them.

I will likely contribute these same articles to my Examiner.com page as well, in order to expand our reach and people's consciousness ;-)
Please visit me here, as I am adding content daily: North Bay Practical Spirituality Examiner

Also, be sure to ck out the book I messaged the group about yesterday ~ really funny and on point!

Love,
Amara

Well I just walked through Silver Planet and read your articles. Good for you sweet spirit, well done. Will you continue to make contributions to this site? While I was there I watched the video on Hurricane Hazel. What a phenominal woman she is, loved the closing musical, she is a trip and such an inspiration. I would love to be her when I grow up.
I liked this article, Amara. I wholeheartedly agree that Home is not an external place where we house all our stuff, it's an inner space where we can be who we are. I've noticed that, when I take my dog for a walk in the woods, I often take a small rucksack with a thermos flask (I'm a hopeless tea addict). I choose a pleasant spot with somewhere to sit and dump the rucksack while my dog and I go and explore. If the dog finds anything she wants to chew on for a while, she'll take it to wherever the rucksack is because that spot has been identified as 'Home" albeit temporarily. Whichever spot I choose feels a little different than the surrounding area. The rucksack simply marks the spot that my spirit identifies as Home. The actual geographical spot is just a focal point that enables us to find that inner peace we call "Home".

So I can certainly identify with that.
Thanks for your excellent example, Ron! I think people in other cultures (especially those that are less materially rich than the US) understand this concept more viscerally ~ and are generally happier than we are as well!
