funny how something most of us consider mundane, like scars......can be so deep(no pun intended)and have so many different meanings. The short post that was put up on the main page...reminded me not only of physical scars, but emotional ones as well.

Remembrances--My Son John

My husband Ray was alcoholic. Most of the time during our 13 years together he was recovering, but there were a few memorable relapses. Then there were the couple of years my son John lived with us. He was not only alcoholic, but also manic/depressive, paranoid schiz, bi-polar, mentally ill. As a youngster, he was always incredibly intelligent and musically gifted. I miss that being very much. I spent the whole entire day on Friday----- doing absolutely nothing.

I think there were some energy vampires in full gear at work this week.
