Here is the problem

I could repeat what has been stated by Jeff and others here. Mine is a very similar story. The problem is the following (I think). By being connected to Carlos's music for 30 years or more we all think we know him and have a personal relationship to him. In fact that is not completely wrong, but also not quite the truth. There is something wonderful about music. At the end of the day it happens in your mind. So your experience is not just created by the artist, but to a large extend by yourself. It is resonating against the background of what makes you. Now this in turn means that we create our own image of the artist based on our experience with his creation. After 30 years we painted a complete picture which has to deviate from reality. I was always inspired not only by the music but also what carlos had to say during the countless concerts I attended over the decades. At the same time we all have to realize that a man is just a man and it is not fair to expect more. From Carlos' perspective the link we have can not be there. How could it? At the end of the day I think we should be grateful of what we got. Carlos had his own struggles in life. He doesn't call himself Devadip anymore to name just an example. What he created over the decades including his vision and his mission is bigger, even bigger then he can be. That's how I see it and in the picture I painted from Carlos it is how he sees it. .

First of all I like what you have to say and you make some valid points. You've thought about this quite a bit. While I haven't read Jeff's discussion I felt compelled to add a comment. Our perceptions, opinions, observations, and judgments are a beautiful and yet somewhat confusing thing. Without them we couldn't make decisions or have our frames of reference to function and experience this life we all are living. That being said, we perceive and make judgments based more on our intellect or brain. We judge things and/or people (again, judgment facilitates decision making) when the only thing we can really judge is ourselves; and we don't even do that will. One person's truth or reality may not be another person's truth or reality and it doesn't make either one wrong or right. Besides, do we really know what the REAL reality; or is just pure conjecture that we apply our beliefs to. That being said, I think Quantum Physics and Torsion Physics are right on the money. Science and Spirituality are very closely related cousins if you will. The dualities and polarities we have are in place merely to allow us to experience. They don't exist in pure energy which is the spirit or our spirituality. I know it may not seem like I'm on the same subject matter here but I'm building to something. This idea that someone has to be wrong and someone has to be right is the basis for fighting over beliefs. Realities and truths change from person to person, community to community, and so on. Applying all this to knowing or not knowing Carlos (Yes, I've listened to his music since I think 1968 or so) can be a conundrum. Lets' face it, none of us knows exactly what goes on inside Carlos's brain or spirit for that matter. However, we can feel him through his music and words and in that I think we can know his essence because he's spilling his soul or spirit into the two mediums. Also, we might consider the fact of our oneness. If we are all one and we know ourselves (and the juries out on that one; lol) do we not know Carlos as well just because of the oneness connection of all that is in this universe. So, basically I agree with you but with a twist or another angle. Maybe I just have too much time on my hands. LOL :) Don't know where this original subject started but you are right about just being grateful and humbled by his presence and plight throughout his life being the bottom line. Again, like you said, it's much bigger than he or any one person can be. Peace, KTP
