Gil Scott-Heron dead at 62...

I've listened to the music of this man since I was about 12 years old. I'm 52 now and it still sounds good. This is the first man to put spoken word to music and some beat like no one has done since. He was truly a poet and a conscious one at that. It seems to me that the "Revolution Will Not be Televised" would have been more appropriate today with some update lyrics to match the political times. My brother and I had visions of contacting him one day and doing a new version of the song…

Oneness....

I think one of the major reasons people are unwilling to accept the oneness concept, is due to the foundation of explanation. I mean this to say that when we want to understand a concept, we look for a physical explanation instead of just feeling it. I had a tribute gig 19-7-09 ,..where i played & sang with several musicians, bands, etc ,...it wa very well supported, & 'eve'ryone had a joyous day,-which was my most important wish .

I'm having an 'eve'n bigger gig at the end of November, so perhaps you can find a way of getting over for it ? - that would be a buzz eh ?
