Imagination is key.
The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination. Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.

As a man I have seen far to many women suffer abuse at the hands of men.
From this point on Let No Man Raise His Hand in Anger , Let No Man Raise His Hand in Hate , Let No Man Raise His Hand in Conflict for to do so diminishes the Human Spirit.
Women are our greatest treasure. They bring life into the world. They nurture our spirits and nourish our souls yet far too many of them suffer at the hands of men. What is wrong with us as a society that in the 21st century we…

Please check out the photography of Corbin Doak under Photos. He is a very good friend of mine from China via Hawaii. His parents are friends of mine from Makakilo HI. He has a twin brother named Shannon. His photography is awesome.
Some of the other photography is aso pretty awesome too. Having received an AA degree in Photojournalism myself, I am an avid lover of good photography. I also have an AA degree in Art. I will be taking a painting class this June at the College of the Canyons…

funny how something most of us consider mundane, like scars......can be so deep(no pun intended)and have so many different meanings. The short post that was put up on the main page...reminded me not only of physical scars, but emotional ones as well.
Most of us have inner scars, private hurts that have somehow never healed, either because we nurse them so they dont or wont......or because we dont know how to help ourselves, heal ourselves....and so there they are.....and they are…

"There is something beautiful about all scars of whatever nature. A scar means the hurt is over, the wound is closed and healed, done with."

- all of the expectations, all of the beliefs - and becoming who you are."

Wow! Fear of not having enough, no matter how much we have, leads to greed!
We all should have the courage of that old soul disquised in a girl's body! It is time to act! Goethe reminds us:
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.
Thank you, Thank you, thank you, gracias, gracias, gracias

These songs came to me as I sat enjoying nature in one of my favorite spots.
Melody of Life
The melody of life has its own rhythm.
Listen for it and you’ll hear.
All the myriad parts will soon fit together
And an arrangement will appear.
At first it will seem to be quite random,
With nothing to connect it all,
But suddenly it comes together
And you hear it all in harmony.
I give thanks for my awareness of this
Portion of…

I have come to believe that everything unfolds in perfect divine order, that everything that happens is a lesson here in Earth School, and that what actually happens to us is not as important as how we deal with it. This is quite a different philosophy than the one I used to live by, and it was severely challenged five years ago when my house was infested with ticks.
Brown dog ticks are the only ticks that have been known to take over a human habitat. Being a researcher, I learned…

I was merrily minding my own business on facebook, and saw a video of Santana. I liked what I saw, and proceeded to visit his blog. Low and behold, there was the mantra that I had just told everyone was my new one. One of the motto's of AOAND is LOVE IS THE ANSWER, which I had adopted as my new mantra. I took it as a sign and joined this group. I am an advocate for peace. I am a member of the Baha'i Faith, and we do not like war. We believe that God is one, and that humanity is one. I dearly do…

Maybe I can tell a little bit about my recovery and what happened. It is a long long story so guess I better condense it down. Living 80 years has been a journey for sure, believe I started out like everybody else, born in Minnesota and had a fairly loving family, had no idea how loving until it has disappeared from my life. That is the beginning of my story. Had friends, and also was able to follow a little of my dreams, spent a lot of time with my grandparents which was great and this is…

I am one with my group brothers and all that I have is theirs.
May the love that is in my soul pour forth to them.
May the strength that is in me lift and aid them.
May the thoughts which my soul creates reach and encourage them.

My husband Ray was alcoholic. Most of the time during our 13 years together he was recovering, but there were a few memorable relapses. Then there were the couple of years my son John lived with us. He was not only alcoholic, but also manic/depressive, paranoid schiz, bi-polar, mentally ill. As a youngster, he was always incredibly intelligent and musically gifted. I miss that being very much. At this stage of the game he’s practically unrecognizable as the little boy I knew and loved. It seems…

“Dare You To Move”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQX9krZ23B0
Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everyone’s here…
Everybody’s watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next?
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to run
Like today never happened
Today never happened…
