on this first day of fall 2009...

On this first day of Fall 2009 there is a chill and rain in the air. With winter on the way, just around the corner, to think of the many people who will struggle with higher utilities, food prices, and the like, here in Ohio, and some friends who just left to do a charity ride to the tip of South America, there is balance. Within our grasp is truly this New Dawn, the one it is always darkest just before. As we make our plans, promote our projects and find some comprehension; i say one word,… Continue

Woodstock Festival near Chicago

Attended by over 10,000 peace loving folks of all ages, the weekend long show near Woodstock Illinois was a huge success! For someone who had missed the origonal it gave us the chance to feel we had come close to the true experience meant to be conveyed by a peace rally/gathering. The bands were very nice representations of many of the acts there at Woodstock NY in 1969. We want our boys home from war overseas the same as during Vietnam.

Although we may understand a little better why… Continue

B's blog

As a writer, poet, lyricist, artist, photographer and videographer there are many projects, and never seems to be enough hours in the day! How peaceful to find just to be is enough and exciting to see so many who look to and work for positive change!

To also assist others in any way possible makes for a flurry of activity. With faith all happens just as it should, always we can proceed with assuredness.

When we reach out a hand with our heart in the right place miracles occur all… Continue

My dear brother Barry, who would not fly "gunships" (combat helicopters) - only medivac helicopters. I was a medic in Alaska, not in Viet Nam because two brothers at once could not be there. thanks, ron

There are so many things that can provide us with peace. Next time
you take a shower or a bath, I suggest you hold your big toes in
mindfulness. We pay attention to everything except our toes. When
we hold our toes in mindfulness and smile at them, we will find that
our bodies have been very kind to us. We know that any cell in our
toes can turn cancerous, but our toes have been behaving very well,
avoiding that kind of problem. Yet, we have not been nice to them
at all. These kinds of practices can bring us happiness.
