There is no money in a gift economy. It is not a reform, it is a major revolution. You are giving your gift. It is not barter. Theres a book about it called THE GIFT (Imagination and the Erotic Life of Property) by Lewis Hyde and a film about it called GIFTING IT (which interviews Hyde quite a bit). The trailer of the film is at: http://hopedance.org/community-media/videos/346

This is such an important direction to go. As you all know, popular media; tv, film, radio, dvd's, are promoted for commercial gain and as such the wrong motivation. Nothing good can come from that. The major commercial video outlets are a constant stream of violent themes. We need to provide an alternative where the problems of life, portrayed in films, are met with peaceful, non-violent solutions. Good Luck to all of you in your endeavors. Peace and Love, Joe

some one is taking sacred economics quite seriously/intently is Charles Eisenstein. He just sent us the following. It may be of interest to people here:
Hello everyone,

I have an article, "A Circle of Gifts" on a cool website called shareable.net. http://shareable.net/blog/a-circle-of-gifts
It is about a particular mode of gift economy, and its context of community disintegration, and its economic ramifications. An excerpt:

Fortunately, the monetization of life has reached its peak in our time, and is beginning a long and permanent receding (of which economic "recession" is an aspect). Both out of desire and necessity, we are poised at a critical moment of opportunity to reclaim gift culture, and therefore to build true community. The reclamation is part of a larger shift of human consciousness, a larger reunion with nature, earth, each other, and lost parts of ourselves. Our alienation from gift culture is an aberration and our independence an illusion....

I look forward to interacting with people in the comments.>>

the one chapter that was a godsend to me is linked at: http://www.hopedance.org/home/money-news/1671-sacred-economics with almost 1,000 hits at the hopedance.org site...

Kellia, you are very sweet - love your video!

Thanks to all for helping her with additional references. I've enjoyed reviewing this material - some great thoughts about the purpose of money and how we can better relate to others energetically.
