A Message of Hope

A Message of Hope

As the Year comes to a close

We look at the Lessons Learned

So many Lessons that have been endured

That now give us a stronger Foundation to Lead us On

And it is important to Look ahead With a New Vision and a new Hope

And see that it is time to work together

And get past our individual Differences

And our own vested interests

To see how all of our separate Wills

Can… Continue

Spare The Grape, Save The Wine

Even though the clock starts ticking when you pull the cork, most wines will last at least a day or two. But eventually, almost everyone will have a few glasses of unused wine. And if you’ve just hosted a holiday party, you probably have more than just a few glasses to deal with. You might even have, when combined, a few bottles.

It’s tempting to simply pour it down the drain, but don’t. Wine recycles beautifully into many different pleasures. That leftover wine can go on bringing… Continue

Wreck-Less Abandon and Sacred Partnerships (c) of 2012

The Mother is alive. Her development has always been marked by milestones; they are cyclical. Some future cycles will be easy, some will be difficult. Climates and weather patterns change and shifts happen; people live, people die. This is life.

What matters most for our species is how we choose to respond to the shifts. We think of relationship as a condition that is between ourself and other chosen humans. Sometimes we think of relationship as being between ourself… Continue

Once In A Blue Moon: A Potent New Year's Blessing

On December 31, 2009, we'll experience a blue moon lunar eclipse. A blue moon typically refers to the second full moon in a given month, which only happens once every few years, making it unusual enough to generate a sense of expectancy. However, the original definition referred to the 13th full moon in a "tropical year", or growing season, traditionally measured from one winter solstice to the next.

So while the full moon and blue moon… Continue

Heaven is Being Perfect ~ a (incomplete) personal evaluation of "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" by Richard Bach

As many of you may well know by now, JLS has long been on my bookshelf....almost since its publication in fact.... not necessarily the same copy as so many I have worn out, given away and replaced over and over.

In 2008 I began an indepth evaluation of JLS for I knew it had something much deeper to share with me. Following is part of this evaluation with quotes from the book (page #s given may not always reflect your copy of course so you may have to search a bit for the quotes…

Release the Deep Spirit of Altruism that You Carry in Your Hearts

WORD FOR THE DAY (gratefulness.org)
Monday, Dec. 28

If there is anything I have learned about men and women,
it is that there is a deeper spirit of altruism than is ever evident.
Just as the rivers we see are minor compared to the underground streams,
so, too, the idealism that is visible is minor compared to what people carry
in their hearts unreleased or scarcely released

The 40% Problem: Why Retailers and Brands are Struggling with Social Compliance in China

Many of the most transparent retailers and brands report that 40-50% of their factories are either in remediation or considered medium risks. Moreover, this has not changed much over the past three years. Why has this proven to be such a challenge?

The principal goal is to protect the brand from disclosure that its suppliers and factories may not be trading ethically. Protecting the brand is an immediate problem. Human rights in developing countries is an aspirational goal.… Continue

Mercury Rx: A Healing New Year's Gift

On December 26th, the planet Mercury will appear to move backwards in the sky until January 15, 2010 — a dance it typically does three times each year. Because Mercury rules communication, transportation and technology, many people have an instinctive aversion to these retrograde cycles. But as with all shadows, Mercury retrogrades contain hidden gifts.… Continue

Global Love Day

Hi to everyone

My name is Sylvia-Hayron. I am a love ambassador and the initiator of the BIG HUG event on 1st May 2012. Looking forward to our new world of peace and love I like to express the following:

It is given to us to create everything we want. By and by, there are the best inventions and discoveries, to realize our desires. Whether it is a question to simply go quickly from one place to another, or put messages at… Continue

Blessings in Disguise

I recently had a conversation with a woman who was telling me how blessed her life has been. I asked her, “how has it has been blessed”? She said, “I, and my family have always had good health, we are very financially comfortable and we are happy.” She went on to say,“ I have not had any challenges in my life, no sorrow, and nothing disruptive”. “I feel blessed”!.

It may seem odd to you who are reading this, but I thought to myself, “Wow! What a boring life”. I later reflected on my… Continue
