If we want society to change, we have to be prepared to surrender the benefits of society temporarily. We are afraid to lose our jobs and our pensions and ou homes and the stuff we have acquired. But primitive man had none of these and survived and thrived to build the civilisations we have now come to depend on.
However, the corporations to not produce anything... the people who work for them do that. Politicians depend on the corporations to generate revenue and provide employment, corporations depend on us to provide labour and also as a consumer base.
Everything depends on us. We build and maintain the infrastructure. You think politicians can do that? Half of them need personal assistants to tie their shoelaces! We design and manufacture the goods we then purchase. Do you think the CEOs of the corporations can do that?

Yes, we depend on the corporations to pay our salaries... with a fraction of the money we earn for them. Do you think the employees of ACME GIZMOS inc. couldn't just get together and make gizmos between them and cut out the middle man? The CEO needs employees. The employees just need to earn enough money to buy the gizmos they make. So, if society needs gizmos, get the people who make them together and provide gizmos for society.

The resources are there, the technology is there and we are the ones who have the skills to bring it all together. We just have to organise. Americans are likely to reject anything that smacks of "socialism". Forget "isms". This is not an ideology but a practical solution to a problem that should never have existed in the first place.

We don't needto destroy the old system. Just create a better system and the old one becomes obsolete. We just have to stop being afraid of upsetting all that we have become accustomed to and create the society we want.

All aspects of ending poverty and human trafficking/slavery are a life long dedicated issue platform that I work in. The space for human rights and the basic right for all living humans to have a form of decency must be brought to the forefront and maintained today.
