Vic, rather than collaboration, i do believe the best word today is "integration". The Transformative Media and Entertainment group here on AOAND now has 111 members and growing. It also has 190+ comments related to human consciousness and accomplishing social transformation via media and entertainment. And, now what we want to do is to incorporate information on how to create sustainable living communities, which includes information as to what constitutes "sustainable living," along with the information on human consciousness so that we are integrating the components of two of the dynamics necessary to begin moving society toward two of its goals:

1) restoring our life support system, and
2) achieving worldwide peace.

I, feel you will agree with me that without first restoring our life support system and ensuring that there are enough resources to supply all life on earth, that we cannot achieve world peace.

The Ecological Footprint Indicator reveals that by the year 2030 we will need the equivalent of 2 earths in order to meet the resource needs of the people on the Planet at that time. And, since we are only about 20 years away from that date, it becomes obvious that we have already exceeded our ecological bank account and are running in the red.

So, the obvious answer then appears that we must change the manner in which we use our resources which means a consequent change in lifestye. And, as well, we must make different choices as to what resources we grow in order to ensure that all are fed.

Let me also provide some other rather startling statistics which demonstrate that we must quickly change the manner in which we live, work, and use money.

Due to technological advances it only takes 30% of the current worldwide labor force to supply all the goods and services necessary to fill the needs of the 6+ billion of us on the planet. So, what happens with the other 70% of the labor force that is not needed and has no means of obtaining money with which to purchase food? and, no land upon which to raise it?

But, the scenario gets worse. As we move into nanotechnology and bio-mimicry, which we must do in order to conserve on scarce resources, due to further advances in technology, it will only require 3- 4% of the currently available labor force to supply all of the goods and services necessary for all of the people on the Planet.

So, what happens to the remainder? The U.S. in order to avoid economic collapse has been employing 70 to 75% of the currently available labor force and has moved into the production of "luxury goods". In so-doing, since the end of World War II, the U.S. has caused more environmental devastation than at any time in all of past recorded history. Source: End of Work - Jeremy Rifkin.

While we keep hearing about "green jobs" being created, what no one is telling us is that as these new green jobs appear they are not going to be "in addition to present jobs" but will replace present jobs. And as nanotechnology and bio-mimicry increase, the need for human labor will gradually, but rather quickly disappear as is happening today.

The jobs that are disappearing today will not reappear because we have arrived at the end of the Industrial Age and have entered into the Age of Knowledge in which we will continually learn how to do "more with less". One of the considerations of this being that as we move more and more into nanotechnology, human hands are simply too large to handle the associated small parts, thus making human labor more more obsolete.

So, i am not inferring that this group does not have value, only that by integrating itself into the larger group where we have some highly evolved thinkers aboard, we can accomplish a more well rounded group and move the information along more quickly through planning for what i call "Edutainment" so that ALL on the planet are better informed in the best interests of all concerned.

And as a member of both groups, i am suggesting what i feel to be the best way forward because there is simply no way back. We are now at about a quarter to mid-night as i see it and must move quickly.

with love and appreciation.

WOW! You've just initiated about 57,425,098 different juicy conversations! I have much to say and would love to participate with your community in a couple of juicy dialogues on the subjects you address below. I propose also that it is better to request collaboration between two communities than to suggest one community move to another. Let me know when your next conversation emerges. Oh yes and .. join http://ChangingNormal.com offical site and I'll explain its value sometime soon. Or consider my twitter dialog group about change at http://twibes.com/BeTheChange :) Vic

From where i sit, what needs to be done to change from what we view as "normal" today to another level of thinking, is to reprogram the sub-conscious mind. And this requires that we get into the Theta state of mind in which the programming first took place, that of a baby maturing into a child, and then an adult, and focus on reprogramming or rewriting the scripts of old that were placed there by parents and early schooling before the age of 6 - 7. .

The programs that were programmed into our sub-conscious mind from the time we were born, and even prior to birth, are the programs that run the rest of our lives unless we consciously re-program.the brain/mind. For instance if your parents were fundamentalists and that is the programming you received from them up to age 6 - 7 then that is the way you will think the rest of your life unless you consciously take charge of your life and reprogram your mind.

During the early stages of our life, our brain waves are normally in the Alpha and Theta state which is a hypnotic state in which programming takes place. And in order to reprogram the mind, we need to put ourselves back into this Theta state and consciously rewrite the program and inscribe it on that section of the brain that acts as the subconscious.

First of all, we need to know that the human body/mind is configured like a quantum computer. Each cell of our body is configured exactly like a computer chip. The heart brain and the head brain act as dual core processors. The boney structure of our body contains "marrow" within it which is actually "liquid crystalline" which acts like a semi-conductor to carry the messages throughout the system. Since each cell acts like a computer chip then the whole body is a sensory organ that is set up as a transmission and receiving station.

The sub-conscious mind is that part of us that was in place before we evolved and developed a conscious mind. The sub-conscious mind is set up in such a way as to allow us to run on auto-pilot and, it is not "self-aware" so it does not judge the information that is taken into the system it simply reacts when the proper signal is given. For instance if you were programmed as a child to roll up the bottom of the toothpaste tube as it became less full, and then you get married and your spouse was not programmed in this manner, then unless you make a conscious choice not to do so, you will find this extremely annoying and maybe even fly off the handle not even being aware of why this happens.

Over on the Transformative Media and Entertainment group here on AOAND, we are examining who we are and how we are structured in order to find the best modality(s) for reprogramming the sub-conscious of the collective we are today as a nation-state. A nation-state in which almost 30% of us are now deemed to be legally mentally ill, and in which with only 5% of the world's population we use fully 40% of the world's illegal mind-altering drug production and goodness only knows what percentage of the legal production.

Many psychologists today define our collective disease as being "the pathology of dissociation" with the add on of addiction. Our dissociation results from our increasing implementation of artificial systems into our environment which act to displace the natural systems which were present at the time of our biological beginnings. In essence, we have lost those things which gave us "soul," e.g., community, natural living, vitality, equality and a sense of belonging. As we have evolved, these basic qualities of life have gradually been replaced with what we call "emergent qualities," e.g., technology, rational thinking and social systems including the monetary system which has now become our "God" and acts as the driver of all of our other social systems.

What appears to be the most effective way to transform the mind today is through "energy" healing which some also refer to as "sound" healing but sound is really only another form of energy. Actually energy expresses itself in two ways: sound and light. Within the "sound" category the most effective form of transformation appears to be music and, in particular, music written within the Solfeggio Scale as this is "the music of life".

So, i would like to suggest that everyone in this group move over to the Transformative Media and Entertainment group if not already subscribed there so we are not duplicating effort since we have some of the best minds in the energy field on that list.

with love and appreciation,

Innovation is the successful implementation of a idea. Why innovate? My simple answer is, to change what’s normal.

Right now in our world it is normal that:

*people die from preventable disease, under-nutrition and over-nutrition, every day
*not everyone has clean water
*at least 600 million people haven’t yet learned to read and write
*governments are slow to act and we all suffer as a result
*fundamentalism, both religious and otherwise, persists as a basic abuse of human rights
*climate change is killing our planet and us, and yet we still mainly sit our hands and allow our politicians to engage in petty, point scoring debates
*more than 2 billion people are expected to live on less than a dollar a day
*starving people don’t receive the food they so desperately need because of terrorism
*biodiversity loss is so great many of the world’s inhabitants are disappearing overnight
*economic instability and the lack of corporate accountability mean many people are suffering through no fault of their own
*electronic waste is a massive problem most people turn a blind eye to
*the social divide is getting bigger
*redefining growth has long been our agenda and yet we persist with old, worn out, and broken ways to develop
*peace is still a pipe-dream for half the world’s people
*democracy as we know it fails most people and yet we persist with the model
*opportunity for every person, a basic human right, is not possible for most the world’s people

The above are our world’s big challenges in my view. I find each of them unacceptable.

On perhaps a more personal level it is normal that:

*Most organisations provide mediocre service
*Lying, cheating, and bribery are accepted ways of doing business
*The majority of organisations have less than 50% of their employees fully engaged in their work
*Many so called great companies aren’t
*Fake leaders rule
*Most abuse comes from people in our families
*Most of what we really feel remains unsaid because we are afraid of what other people might think if we actually expressed how we feel

I could go on and on. Yet I won’t because I would get depressed. You might be already.

Who we are and what we do makes a difference, whoever we are and whatever we do.

I plead with you today to become more of who you are capable of becoming, and to do more to solve our problems and challenges, to change what is normal, because to do so is real innovation.

My 3 steps for innovation are detailed here.

Be remarkable

This looks like the "Group" for me! I am a left handed female (only 10% of us). I must say, I think backwards. I am very happy with myself and am able to laugh at some of the things I seem to bang into (many things are made for right handers!).
I am very creative and good at solutions to problems!
Thank you for creating this group!
